When you submit a form on the Site — to schedule a consultation, subscribe to our newsletter, or apply for a position — we collect the information you enter, which may include your name, business name, email address, phone number, the content of your message, and, for job applicants, your résumé and related materials.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers collect standard technical information — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and dates and times of visits — through cookies and similar technologies. Information from business engagements. If you become a client, we collect the business and financial information necessary to perform the services you engage us for. That information is governed by our engagement agreements in addition to this policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations; to provide, administer, and improve our services; to send the communications you've requested, including our newsletter; to send text messages where you have expressly opted in (see Text Messaging below); to analyze how the Site is used so we can improve it; to comply with legal obligations; and to protect our rights, our clients, and the security of the Site.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Email Communications
Our marketing and newsletter emails comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. Every marketing email we send identifies 8 Furlong Consulting as the sender, includes our physical mailing address, uses subject lines that reflect the content of the message, and contains a clear unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are honored promptly, and in all cases within ten (10) business days. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not affect transactional or service-related messages connected to an active engagement.
Text Messaging (SMS)
We send text messages only to individuals who have expressly consented to receive them — by checking the SMS consent box on one of our forms, or by texting a keyword to our number. By opting in, you agree to receive text messages from 8 Furlong Consulting, which may include appointment reminders, replies to your inquiries, and occasional updates about our services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except as necessary to deliver the messages through our messaging service providers.
